I’m tired of being disappointed over and over again.
I would rather just accept that life doesn’t get better.
Do you feel like living proof that some people’s lives are just terrible?
Disappointment does often seem like the only thing we can depend on. But what if there is more?
What if there is a hope that always endures?
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Lamentations 3:21-22
Yes. Pain, injustice, and fear are all real. But there is also life, compassion, and courage.
Every good thing in the world gives us a glimpse of the good God who created us.
We see these glimpses in ordinary moments, like the laughter of a friend or the colors of a sunrise.
They are gifts that remind us that there is something… someone beyond our struggle.
Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.
Psalm 27:13
The way we feel right now will not be the way we feel forever. When we anchor ourselves in this truth, we begin to see just how much we need God to renew our hearts.
And as our eyes open to this new hope, God reveals just how willing he is to make us new.
Would you be brave enough to consider the idea that there is someone who wants to walk through your struggles with you? Someone who wants to restore your life?
